12th Meeting of the Regional Consultative Committee on Disaster Management 

The 12th annual meeting of the Regional Consultative Committee on Disaster Management (RCC) was held in Thimphu, Bhutan from 16 – 18 June 2015. Organized with support from the German Government through GIZ, the meeting focused on the theme Risk-Sensitive Development in the Asia-Pacific Region.

The members of the Regional Consultative Committee on Disaster Management works in key government positions focusing on the development of national disaster management systems in the Asia-Pacific countries. Currently comprising of 26 countries in the region, the committee was established in 2000 at the initiative of Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC).

The 11th annual meeting of the committee was held in Nay Pyi Taw in Myanmar in 2014 focusing on the theme Reducing Disaster Risk and Transforming Development.
