Cyclone Amphan Advisory-01

The Department of Disaster Management (DDM) as notified by the National Center for Hydrology and Meteorology (NCHM), the Southern and Eastern parts of Bhutan is likely to experience moderate to heavy rainfall in the next 72 hours (May 19-21, 2020). This is due to the severe cyclonic storm (Cyclone Amphan) which is likely to move Northwards and intensify further into a very severe cyclonic storm. Thunderstorms accompanied with lighting and gusty wind can be expected at isolated parts of the country during the same period.
