National Situational Update on COVID-19 (07-09-2020)

2 people tested positive over the last 24 hours.

A 39-year-old man; an incoming expatriate and a primary contact of the case detected earlier at Samdrup Jongkhar was detected positive in a quarantine facility in Samdrup Jongkhar.

Another 25-year-old man; a Roayl Bhutan Army personnel who is a primary contact of a case detected earlier, tested positive while in a quarantine facility in Phuntsholing.

Meanwhile, one person is being declared recovered.

Definitions:
a. Confirmed: number of people who have tested positive through COVID-19 tests.
b. Active: number of people who are currently in the isolation facilities because they are still COVID-19 positive.
c. *Recovered: number of people who have tested negative on COVID-19 test and declared as recovered. Those who test negative twice over a 24 hour period are kept under 14 days of observation in a quarantine facility.
