5 new cases have been detected in the past 24 hours.
– 2 cases from the community in Thimphu (1 Lungtenphu and 1 Changzamtog), the clusters have been cordoned off and contact tracing completed.
-1 close contact from from Changbangdu in Thimphu.
-2 cases were detected from the community in Paro (1 from Tsento and 1 from Wangchang). Both the individuals are expats. Contact tracing has been completed for the Paro cases and all necessary containment measures have been taken.
Age range of the confirmed cases is 27-35 years. Out of the 5, 3 are male and 2 are female.
Meanwhile, 22 people are being declared recovered.
*Cluster: Group of buildings in and around the positive case’s residence including the residence of the positive case.
