National Situational Update on COVID-19 (19-09-2020)

Six new case detected during the last 24 hours. The details are as follows:

4 men aged 34 to 53 who came from India and were quarantined at Phuntsholing.

A 26-year-old female who returned from the middle east and is quarantined at Paro.

A 54-year-old Royal Bhutan Army personnel (male), who is a primary contact of a case detected earlier and in self containment in Phuntsholing.

They will be moved to the isolation later today. 4 others are being declared recovered.

Definitions:
a. Confirmed: number of people who have tested positive through COVID-19 tests.
b. Active: number of people who are currently in the isolation facilities because they are still COVID-19 positive.
c. *Recovered: number of people who have tested negative on COVID-19 test and declared as recovered. Those who test negative twice over a 24 hour period are kept under 14 days of observation in a quarantine facility.
