Inauguration of Second Batch Search and Rescue (SAR) Training at Lobesa, Punakha.

The inaugural session of the second batch SAR training (Lobesa, Punakha), was graced by Brigadier Dorji Rinchen, Officiating Deputy Chief Operations Officer, RBA, Lungtenphu on 16th March 2021. The session was attended by other Commissioned Officers from RBA, RBP and De-Suung office. The Director General, Department of Disaster Management delivered the Welcome Remarks followed by Keynote Address by the Chief Guest. The Keynote address highlighted on the importance of SAR training, emphasizing the country’s geography and associated disaster risks.

A total of 66 participants from De-Suung, RBP, RBA and RBG will undergo extensive field training on Mountain SAR, White Water Rescue, Urban SAR, Motor Vehicle Extrication, Firefighting Techniques, Physiological First Aid and Principles of First Aid, combined with theory sessions.

The Training will be facilitated by the master Trainers from RBP, RBA, RBG and De-Suung.
