Department of Disaster Management Safe, Resilient and Happy Bhutan
The Department of Disaster Management in collaboration with the Department of Hydromet Services, Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Department of Agriculture under Ministry of Agriculture and Forest has prepared the Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF) for the implementation of upcoming Hydroment and Disaster Improvement Regional Project supported by the World Bank. The main objective of the porject is to strengthen Bhutan’s capacity for improved hydromet services and disaster preparedness and response capacity.
