Update on the Water level of the lake on 24th June 2019:
In continuation to the press release issued on 23rd June 2019 by the Ministry of Home and Cultural affairs (MoHCA).the water level of the lakes reported to be normal. The National Center for Hydrology & Meteorology (NCHM) is continuously monitoring the Thanza lake site station, Wangdi Phodrang and Thimphu Control center.
The four member technical team from NCHM is carrying out rapid assessment of the situation and reinstalling the sensor for the Early Warning System that is reported to have been damaged. The MoHCA will update on the status of the reinstallation.
