Search and Rescue (SAR)Training Program Completed Successfully in Paro Dzongkhag 

The Department of Disaster Management conducted 6 day Basic Search and Rescue training for the Paro Dzongkhag Search and Rescue Team from 3rd to 8th February, 2014. The Training was funded by European Commission Directorate-General Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection (DG-ECHO) through Save the Children, Bhutan Country Office under DipECHO VII Project.

A total of 14 participants comprising eight police personnel from local Police Station, three officials from the Dzongkhag Administration and three officials from the Department of Disaster Management attended the Training.

The training was facilitated by the members of National Search and rescue Team (NaSART)
The Training was focused on High angle rope rescue, water rescue and first aid
